This Year’s Best Summer Street Food Events

Forget mulled wine and roasted chestnuts. Summer is here and it’s time to celebrate with a countdown of some of the tastiest food and drink festivals from across the UK.

Taste of London

Brits love their nosh and nothing sums the infatuation up better than the annual Taste of London festival. The week-long extravaganza unfolds in Regent’s Park and offers attendees the chance to sample signature dishes from London’s finest restaurants, not to mention booze tastings, masterclass sessions, live demonstrations and more!

 

Scandinavian Midsummer Feast

The Scandinavians love their crime thrillers and flat pack furniture and now, top notch grub is also considered one of their specialities. From June 20-21 hit up Somerset’s Scandinavian Midsummer Feast which features guest appearances from celebrity chefs, live music, blazing bonfire and some of the best recipes from Sweden, Norway and Denmark.

 

Grillstock

If you’ve got a weakness for “meat, music and mayhem” Grillstock is the summer festival for you! It’s set to take Bristol by storm in July and as well as mouth-watering meat fare, merrymakers will also be treated to a seriously impressive music line up headlined by none other than De La Soul.

 

International Cheese Show

Cheese lovers are set to flock to Cheshire for the annual International Cheese Show. Here, attendees can sample over 4,400 cheeses from 26 countries!

 

Great British Beer Festival

The weather may be sweltering but Brits can keep cool by heading to the world famous Great British Beer Festival. Hosted by CAMRA, the event sees London’s Olympia converted into the biggest pub on the planet!

 

Jamie Oliver’s Big Feastival

Nobody represents top notch British fare quite like the ever charming Jamie Oliver. Held in Cotswolds, this extravaganza showcases the crème de la crème of British produce, as well as world class acts such as Groove Armada and Paloma Faith. Get ready to rock!

 

Great Cornish Food Festival

Held in the charming town of Truro, this festival attracts over 60 artisan exhibitors from the local region. Entry is 100% free which makes it a fantastic choice for foodies on a budget.

 

Fiery Foods UK Chilli Festival

Those who can handle their spice should make a beeline for Brighton’s red hot Fiery Foods UK Chilli Festival.
